For those not familiar with the term, that orange item is used to keep boats from hitting docks and other boats when moored and is called a “fender”.
J.C. Miller is a Landscape Architect. He opened Miller Studio after a dozen years of professional practice. His project experience includes public parks, historic landscapes, educational environments, civic spaces, and residential gardens.
Another very interesting bench and more colorful than some. That fender would be a good place to lay one’s weary head, if one had a weary head! Such a variety of fun sculptures you have in San Francisco!

Looks like a sit up bench to me except for the bright orange.

Not too exciting but I do like the orange:)
Not as imaginative as some of the other seating, but could be comfortable.
A simple bench and the fender looks like a nice place to rest your feet.
